Rescue craft gets LED lights
LED lights have been installed on a Cumbrian rescue craft in a bid to make it more visible.
The lights were donated by LED specialist Marl International for use on the Ulverston Inshore Rescue craft.
Some 14 volunteers work at the centre and can be called out to rescue people from the Morecambe Bay area.
Bruce Chattaway, station officer of the rescue team, has welcomed the donated LED lights which have been incorporated into the deck of the Humber Rescue craft.
The intensity of the LED bulbs enables the craft to be more visible during its rescue attempts.
Mr Chattaway said: “We are very grateful to Marl for donating and fitting these LEDs.
“We can be out in any kind of weather, day or night in an emergency and locating the rescue craft over the vast and rugged areas we cover is not always easy.”
The centre works in partnership with HM Coastguard and has been running for five years.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
