Mall has 200,000 LED lights

An Avon shopping centre has installed 200,000 LED lights for its Christmas display this year.

Visitors, to the Mall at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol recently saw the centre lit up with LED technology at a recent event.

Some 200,000 LED bulbs have been placed throughout the Mall as part of its Winter Wonderland display.

LED lighting has been used to light up the centre’s car parks and decorations which include a tree, garlands and stars.

In addition to seeing the LED lights being turned on, visitors also watched a performance featuring jugglers and stilt-walkers.

Maria Crayton, from the Mall, believes the display has successfully kick-started the festive period.

“It’s the start of a very special time here at the Mall as we look forward to a happy festive season,” she told the Evening Post.

Watton, in Norfolk, is also due to switch on its Christmas display which features LED lights, according to EDP 24.
