LED screens used as ‘patient tracker’
LED screens have been installed at a Canadian hospital so relatives can keep track of their family members’ surgical visits.
Lakeride Health, in Oshawa, Ontario, introduced the LED boards which display information about the progress of operations to keep relatives informed.
The boards display numbers which correspond to individual patients and reveal what stage they have reached in the medical procedure.
Up to 11 different colours are used with burgundy denoting that surgery is complete and blue meaning the patient is in recovery.
Judy Pearce, relative of a patient at the hospital, has welcomed the new LED screens.
“It was easy because I could check every once in awhile and know where he was,” she told Oshawa This Week.
“I could go get something to eat and know that when I came back, I could see where he was. It definitely saved me some steps.”
LED lighting has been being piloted at Florida Hospital’s operating theatre due to its superior intensity of light.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
