LED lights could help cash-strapped Britons

LED lights could help cash-strapped BritonsLED lights should be installed in British homes to help reduce energy bills, industry experts report.

The Committee on Climate Change has urged the government to introduce the cost-effective lights to UK households.

Lord Adair Turner, committee chair, believes that LED bulbs could benefit the 400,000 Britons who currently struggle to pay energy bills.

In addition to saving householders money, the introduction of the innovative technology may help the government meet current targets concerning carbon emissions.

The committee states that in ten years time carbon levels should be slashed by 33 per cent.

It also advised the government to install homes with extra insulation and more detailed meters in order to save power.

“The reductions required can be achieved at a very low cost to our economy: the cost of not achieving the reductions, at national and global level, will be far greater,” Mr Turner told the Independent.

According to the University of Glasgow, LED bulbs could replace traditional lights in just three years time.

I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
