LED board promotes Earth Hour
The largest LED board in Australia is encouraging citizens to get involved in an international energy campaign.
Located in Melbourne, the LED screen is urging business owners and residents to use less power this weekend.
An LED board in the Australian city will bear the message “switch off the lights”.
The board is aiming to promote this year’s Earth Hour which is scheduled for 20:30 on Saturday and raises awareness concerning energy use and its affect on the environment.
Andrew Rouse, from the World Wildlife Fund, believes the screens will help drive home the importance of the campaign.
“Melbourne will join other Australian major cities and capitals around the world to flick the switch in a strong visual message that tells our leaders: We want strong action on climate change now,” he said.
“We not only need Melbourne’s commercial and landmark structures to participate, we also need households to come on board as well.”
In other news, Princess Cruise ships in Australia have been fitted with external LED screens so holidaymakers can watch films while sailing at night.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
