Stunning New Monolith with Full Colour LED Graphics Entices its Members to come and enjoy the Jazz

Today The Concorde is an award-winning hotel and entertainment spot with international acclaim. Its beginnings, however, are a world away from the leading venue it is today; The Concorde’s rich and colourful history starts in the backroom of a Southampton pub in 1957, founded by Cole Mathieson, a keen drummer, with an unrivalled knowledge and passion for jazz.

In 1970 Cole purchased the Old School in Stoneham Lane and turned a derelict Victorian schoolhouse into a world-class venue, attracting jazz legends such as Charlie Mingus, Teddy Wilson and many more.

Through the years the Club has grown to keep up with the demands of its patrons introducing an increased dining area, additional bar and a hotel which has enhanced the Club making it the leading venue that it is today.

With the recent installation of a stunning monolith with two full colour electronic LED screens at the entrance to the site the appeal of the Club is further enhanced. Members and potential members can quickly see what events are on at the Club and certainly be tempted by the famous bands and artists that regularly appear at the venue.

The  double sided monolith display is constructed in steel with a powder coated finish, it stands just short of 5 metres high, the top section has backlit text and the full colour LED screens on both sides have a 10mm pitch,  providing

huge possibilities for promotion and advertising such as Club news, events, bands playing and much more.

Working closely with Cole and his team meant that we could develop exactly what the Club wanted and it has certainly made an impact on its customers.

The Concorde

Cole Mathieson, founder and owner of The Concorde said;

“I would like to say how pleased we are with the new sign that your company built and installed for The Concorde and Ellington Lodge Hotel.  It has made a great impact with our members and customers generally and we have definitely seen an increase in business and new enquiries since the sign has been erected.  We would have no hesitation in recommending LED Synergy to other clients”.

The LED monolith is very prominent as you approach the Club and is a fantastic addition to the Concorde site. The LED screens show stunning graphics in full colour from colourful text to video giving the Club a truly eye catching entrance sign.

I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
