LED lights “shimmer” in Christmas parade
LED lighting proved to be a hit with council officials at an East Midlands Christmas parade.
The streets of Northampton were lit up recently during an annual ceremony where the town’s Christmas lights are switched on.
In addition to a host of decorations, characters which have appeared at the Royal and Derngate Theatres’ shows joined the parade via an open-top bus.
Visitors were also treated to a spectacular fireworks display to welcome in the Christmas period.
Councillor Brendan Glynane praised the new LED lights which decorated the town.
“I love the lights we have got lining the trees and think they look great because they shimmer,” he told the Northampton Chronicle.
“This parade was also about showing people the talent that the Royal and Derngate Theatres have attracted this year.”
Town officials plan to keep the LED lights in place throughout the year.
Elsewhere, Carlisle, in Cumbria, has replaced all traditional bulbs in its Christmas display with LED lights.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
