Video game beamed from giant LED screen
Residents of a Canadian city can currently play video games on a giant LED screen.
The screen, on the Media Tower at Toronto’s Eaton Centre, allows members of the public to interact with it via mobile phones.
Measuring 40-feet by 30-feet, the LED display has been installed with wireless technology so shoppers can play video games on the screen.
Up to ten consumers can play at any one time using special phones provided by BlackBerry manufacturers Rogers.
Staff from the company will hand out the phones and organise players into teams.
Each player is given an avatar which is displayed on the LED screen and controlled by voice commands.
Shoppers have to shout directions into phones in order to move their avatars so they successfully catch phones displayed on the screen.
In addition to video games, the screens will also beam adverts to attract shoppers.
In other news, Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport recently installed interactive LED screens enabling passengers to text messages to the display.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
