Theatres promoted by LED signs
Two US theatres are aiming to boost tickets sales with the installation of four LED signs.
The Citi Performing Arts Center, in Boston, is home to both the Wang Theatre and Shubert Theatre.
Until recently both venues relied on traditional billboards to advertise forthcoming shows which meant just one advert at a time was displayed.
However, each theatre recently received two LED signs which currently beam all events scheduled by the venue, Digital Signage Today reports.
In addition to performances, the innovative screens also display video content that contains further information regarding the theatres.
Julie Banks, marketing communication manager at the Citi Center, explained that the LED signs have a significant impact on the area's visitors.
"It's one of those little things you can do with this technology that make huge impressions on guests, clients and sponsors – it's a value add for the venue," she told the publication.
In other news, the Toronto Transit Commission recently installed LED signs into bus stops to keep passengers updated on estimated travel times.
