Stadium to get LED boards
LED boards have been installed in China’s second largest tennis venue in time for an international sporting event.
Spectators at this year’s Tennis Masters at Qi Zhong Stadium, Shanghai, have been able to watch matches unfold on newly-installed LED screens.
Provided by Lighthouse Technologies, the boards measure 40-square metres ensuring the audience does not miss any on-court action.
In addition, the LED boards feature slim screens which enable easier installation than other technologies due to being of a lighter weight.
Peter Chan, general manager of Lighthouse Technologies, said that LED screens are becoming popular in many sporting venues including stadiums in Australia and the US.
“The famous Lord’s Cricket ground in London have all been excellent examples of how Lighthouse LED screens are creating dramatic impact at major sporting events around the world,” he added.
An LED screen recently unveiled by the Chinese government at Shanghai Financial Centre cost approximately £10 million.
