Shopping centre installs LED displays
A Dubai shopping centre has installed an LED screen into its ice rink.
The Dubai Mall was recently the venue for a social event which sees many residents attend the ice rink for a host of activities.
David Ingram, treasurer for Face Club, explained that the centre was an ideal venue to host the event.
“Face Club aims to provide social, recreational and cultural activities for its members based in Dubai. The Dubai Ice Rink at The Dubai Mall was chosen as the first Face event of 2009,” he said.
“Over 500 people attended the event where we had heaps of fun and games and Face Club skated away with 500 smiles.”
In addition to social activities, the centre uses its new LED screens to beam other events to visitors including figure skating and concerts.
Dubai company Tameer is currently building one of the largest LED screens in the world, which when constructed will measure 100-meters in height.
