Musical advertised via inventive LED display campaign

Musical advertised via inventive LED display campaignHit West End musical, Wicked, which tells the story of the Wizard of Oz from the perspective of the Wicked Witch of the West, is being advertised at London’s Euston Station via its new system of LED displays and digital signage, ahead of the Christmas rush.

Wicked is being advertised heavily during this period because major events, such as Halloween and the half term holiday for kids, encourage people to seek out appropriately themed entertainment that is fun for the whole family.

Euston Station was only recently endowed with the nine displays from JCDecaux’s e-motion digital range and now all of these screens will be harnessed for what will be one of the first major advertising campaigns to use them.

The nine displays benefit from providing a panoramic experience for the audience on a scale that was not previously achievable.

In addition to the nine main screens, there will be supplementary adverts on the digital signs located on Euston Station’s escalators.

Wicked first started life back in 2003 and was adapted from a book published in the mid 1990s and spokesperson, Ben Hurring, said that its award-winning run on Broadway and the West End was deserving of such a high profile, premium quality campaign.

The financially comfortable nature of most people who travel by train and the large audience available in the UK’s capital, makes Euston Station one of the best places to advertise, according to Mr Hurring.

It is now five years since Wicked first opened in London and it is playing only eight minutes away from Euston Station at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, making the station an even more appropriate place to promote it.

The LED backlit displays with LCD panels are coordinated so that cogent content can run across them simultaneously, reaching an audience of almost 200,000 people each day.

I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
