Mega-LED screen dazzles Chinese crowds
Thousands of Chinese citizens were treated to a light show like no other on New Year’s Eve when the China New Media Corporation unveiled its mega-LED screen to count down the seconds until 2010 began.
China New Media Corporation owns the biggest external advertising system in the Chinese city of Dalian and it is quickly becoming one of the most significant advertising firms in the region. The LED display was seen by tens of thousands of revellers in Xinghaiwan Square and it is the most significant of the newly installed high definition LED boards to feature around the city, with most being used to advertise products and services in an entertaining and engaging way.
The screen in the main square is expansive, covering an area of 400 square metres and capturing large audiences with its impressive output. The dawning of 2010 was the first time that the square had been available for public gathering and festival celebrations and, as such, the screen’s arrival was not the only significant event.
China New Media’s CEO James Wang said that his firm was pleased to be behind one of the largest LED displays in China and also said that he was surprised that it had struck such a chord with local residents, who now consider it to be an integral part of any celebration or festival.
Mr Wang went on to explain that the growth of technology in China was gathering pace, with LED displays, Wi-Fi enabled devices and outdoor advertising benefiting as a result. The reach and scope of advertising using LED systems is attractive to major brands and provides a more stimulating, multimedia environment for consumers.
Throughout 2010, China New Media Corporation will be completing the installation of several LED displays around Dalian, taking the total to 12 before the year’s end.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
