LED signs to ease town parking problems
Motorists in Oxfordshire may find it easier to find a parking space thanks to LED signs.
West Oxfordshire district council recently revealed proposals that target the region’s traffic problems.
Some £130,000 is earmarked to buy LED signs which will inform motorists about any traffic delays in the region, the Witney Gazette reports.
In addition, the boards will direct drivers to car parks which have empty spaces so they do not have to search for clear spots.
David Harvey, cabinet member for the environment, explained that the move to digital signage aims to make driving safer.
“What we want to avoid is people crossing from one car park to another in search of a space,” Mr Harvey told the paper.
“We think these signs will help to do this by giving drivers more information as they approach towns for them to act on.”
In other news, Luna Road recently developed solar-powered LED cats eyes which the company states makes night-driving safer.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
