LED sign to boost trade
A US LED sign producer is hoping a newly-erected billboard will become a landmark in the area.
Jeff Prechter, manager of Graci Hart Electric, recently designed the LED screen which is located in New Orleans.
The manager worked in partnership with Faux Pas Prints which had commissioned the sign to advertise products it sells such as t-shirts.
Mr Prechter told the New Orleans City Business that the 60-foot sign cost approximately £34,000 to construct and is held up by six metal supports.
The sturdy foundations ensure that the LED sign can endure winds of 140 miles-per-hour.
“This is as state of the art as you get. It’s got LED around the outside, which is more durable and will help prevent damage from birds, and neon lettering on the inside that lasts forever,” he said.
“The thinking also was this would be kind of like a new landmark for the area.”
According to the Fairbanks Daily News, a city in Alaska has recently erected LED signs which display safe driving tips for motorists.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
