LED screens to display emergency alerts
LED screens will soon be erected in a US state to notify the public about emergency situations.
Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the LED boards have been donated by the Outdoor Advertising Association.
Up to 75 of the screens will be installed in the city in order to display information concerning weather warnings, fire alerts and chemical attacks.
In addition, the boards are being used to locate missing people such as children and escaped convicts.
The images of missing citizens will be displayed on the LED screens and are to change every ten seconds.
Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle stated that the digital boards are likely to have a positive impact on the safety of citizens.
“These digital billboards are an excellent addition to our response tool belt,” he said.
“We welcome this opportunity to use this versatile real-time technology to deliver critical emergency information to hundreds of thousands of motorists quickly and efficiently.”
Experts from Screens state that LED boards have become popular globally as a way of communicating with the public during emergency situations.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
