LED screens drive home seat belt warning
A campaign to encourage US drivers to wear belts will use LED screens to convey its important message.
Figures from the Office of Traffic Safety recently revealed that 95.7 per cent of US motorists drive while wearing seat belts but officials would like to see this increase.
Christopher Murphy, director of the safety office, believes the new Click It or Ticket campaign will help to save more lives.
“Even with these recent gains, that leaves well over a million Californians exposed to grave danger in the event of a crash,” he said.
“The two seconds it takes to buckle up is the best insurance you can have in a collision.”
As the festive season kicks off traffic police are reminding motorists to wear seat belts or face a fine.
In addition, LED screens bearing the scheme’s slogan will be placed in view of drivers to encourage them to buckle up.
Since 2006, Almelo, in the Netherlands, has had roadside LED screens installed in order to provide drivers with travel information.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
