LED lights add “drama”
A leading car manufacturer has installed an LED light “spectacle” into its new headquarters.
The Volkswagen Group America United States recently saw the construction of a 185,000-square foot building in Herndon, Virginia.
Constructed by VOA Associates, the six-storey headquarters recently installed an LED light feature supplied by LightWild.
Pablo Quintana, lead designer from the lighting firm, explained that 20 tiles were incorporated with LED bulbs which correspond to colours that represent the car company.
He said: “The concept behind the use of the LightWild tiles was to enhance the drama of the entry sequence into the new VW headquarters.
“The lit tiles provide a brilliance and sense of spectacle that, combined with the grand stair and atrium opening, make for a dynamic and awe inspiring lobby for the new facilities.”
The installation can be viewed from the building’s top floor due to the high intensity of light emitted from the innovative LED lamps.
