LED bulb lasts for ten years
An LED bulb has been created that can last a staggering ten years, according to its manufacturers.
Constructed by C.Crane, the GeoBulb II resembles a traditional incandescent lamp but lasts significantly longer.
Figures from the company reveal that the LED bulb will stay alight for three years if it was in constant use, while eight hours of use a day extends its life to ten years.
Despite the lamp using just eight watts of power, it gives out the same amount of light as an incandescent bulb running on 50 watts.
In addition, the LED technology ensures that the devices do not waste energy through heat, meaning the bulbs stay at 32.2 degrees C.
Three types of bulb have been created by the company: Cool White, Soft White and Warm White, with each one giving a different light intensity.
The company recently announced that shipping of its LED bulbs will soon begin.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
