LED board enables Royal Wedding broadcast in New York
New York’s iconic Times Square will be one of the thousands of venues around the globe that will be broadcasting the Royal Wedding live, with the event being displayed in real time on a large LED board to give spectators a detailed look at the pomp and circumstance that will surely surround the day.
Both the build up and the service itself will be shown on a digital LED Board in high definition in the Father Duffy Square portion of the ad-flooded area. The broadcast will not be the only thing to take in as a fashion show based around the dress of Kate Middleton is being held and there are even three weddings occurring in Times Square simultaneously to mark the occasion.
A total of four hours of footage will be displayed in New York to give total coverage of the event, with anchors giving feedback to the crowds live from London. Of course those who want to take part in what is being described appropriately as the king of Royal Wedding viewing parties will have to rise early if they are in New York and do not want to miss any of the festivities.
The TLC network from Discovery Communications is being used to host the live wedding stream, giving spectators a vibrant platform to enjoy the ceremony and the hype which goes before it.
As well as the wedding itself and the trio of smaller services taking place in Times Square, there will be a performance from Colbi Caillat, a songwriter and singer, who has sold millions of albums.
There is no doubt that Royal Wedding fever has gripped America with a greater intensity than it has in the UK and the LED board is the perfect way to get in amongst the crowd and enjoy the day.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
