Italy’s largest LED screen unveiled
The largest LED screen in Italy has been installed in Milan.
Supplied by EuroDisplay, the screen measures 100-square metres and weighs 13 tonnes.
Up to 500,000 LED lights have been incorporated in the screen which will display a variety of information.
Visitors to the city can see hourly weather reports on the LED boards as well as breaking news.
Images on the screen can still be viewed clearly in changing weather conditions as the board adapts itself to different light levels, according to Fabio Aversa, the supplier’s director of sales.
In addition, the board can be viewed from a wide range of angles due to the installation of a projection system on the screen’s front.
“It’s a unique screen because it brings together one of the most remarkable locations in Italy, with the biggest advertising LED screen ever installed outdoor in the country,” said Mr Aversa.
The world’s largest LED screen is being constructed in Dubai and will measure 100 metres by 20 metres when completed.
