Italian football club installs LED scoreboard

Visitors to an Italian sports stadium can watch games unfold on a new LED scoreboard.

ACF Fiorentina has recently installed an LED screen at its Artemio Franchi Stadium in order to boost the viewing experience of spectators.

The LED scoreboard is 9.6 metres by 7.2 metres and will display adverts as well as featuring the progress of games unfolding at the venue.

Technology incorporated into the screen ensures that images on the board are visible in direct sunlight.

In addition, the LED screen offers a wide-angle view of the pitch so spectators can see as much of the game as possible.

Salvatore Cuccu, marketing and communication area manager for ACF Fiorentina, stated that the boards will raise the profile of the club.

He told Broadcast Buyer: “The quality of the screen makes us stand out from other clubs and provides our sponsors, who advertise at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, a better service because of the high resolution of the screen.

The stadium was constructed in 1931 and caters for 47,282 spectators.
