Energy efficient outdoor LED display range launched

A new range of LED displays specifically designed for outdoor usage has been given its debut by manufacturer Texas Digital Systems (TDS). It makes versatile digital signage a reality, as part of existing networks, or on a stand alone basis.

There will be a variety of applications for the new LED displays, including marketing for firms and organisations. The displays are also likely to be bought by educational bodies, such as universities, to deliver information to students, as well as by operators of sporting arenas, conference halls and even religious venues.

The LED displays are able to support real time updates and full colour content, complemented by easy to use software, which requires minimal effort to implement.

The LED displays intended for outdoor use can be constructed in a number of different ways thanks to the modular design, with a maximum size of 45×80 feet for large scale widescreen setups. The viewing angles and distances are also suitable for a range of situations, making flexibility the key word for this new range.

Like many LED displays, the outdoor devices will require much less investment in maintenance and running costs because they are energy efficient and contain premium components rated for their long life.

TDS’ Romney Stewart, explained that the LED displays would offer the pinnacle of professional performance to clients with varying requirements. The ability to service the panels from the front means that the signage will be very easy to maintain and if a single module is taken out of action, the rest of the display will continue to function, minimising the impact of any downtime.

LED displays are the choice of many different businesses, organisations and venues, offering organisers the chance not only to convey information but to keep visitors entertained too.
