Digital signs provide directions
Students at a US college can now navigate their way around the campus thanks to the installation of digital signs.
The interactive LED-based screens were recently installed in kiosks at St Cloud Technical College, Minnesota.
Five kiosks at the campus received interactive software programmes which are integrated into digital screens and offer in-depth information such as maps of the area.
In addition to directions, students can find out about events scheduled at the complex and what meals are offered at the campus’s canteen.
Tony Piccola, president of software provider Jupiterbay, explains that the digital signs will have a positive effect on the college’s students.
“Using interactive kiosks is a natural for any situation where up to the minute information and directions need to be available at all hours,” he said.
“A campus setting and a busy schedule of college happenings is a great fit for our system.”
Meanwhile a library at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, recently installed LED-based signs.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
