Car cruisers ‘shamed’ on LED signs

Car cruisers 'shamed' on LED signsA major supermarket in south Wales is using LED screens to reduce the numbers of troublesome drivers in its car park.

Town officials from Blackwood have welcomed the move which hopes to cut down on the numbers of motorists who travel to Asda just to congregate in its car park, rather than go shopping.

The supermarket recently revealed that the number plates of all cars entering the parking area will be recorded in order to spot vehicles which have been banned from the site.

Troublesome drivers are to have their number plates displayed on LED screens to put them off congregating in the car park.

Andrew Farina-Childs, mayor of the town, believe the LED boards will help to reduce the numbers of cars visiting the area.

“There have been as many as 400 cars seen visiting the car park on a Thursday night coming from as far as Manchester – it’s been horrendous,” he told the South Wales Argus.

In other news, plans for a Devon-based Tesco store reveal that the supermarket intends to install LED lights to reduce its carbon footprint.

I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
