Birmingham shopping centre gets LED lights

Birmingham shopping centre gets LED lightsA major UK shopping centre has been refitted with LED lights in an energy-saving venture.

Tim Walley, managing director of the Bullring, in Birmingham, has revealed that LED lights have been installed in the centre’s walkways, toilets and lifts.

LED lights were used to replace previous bulbs in order to save the centre money on its energy bills.

Figures published by Voltimum, reveal that the Bullring will save £34,000 each year due to the energy-efficiency of the technology.

In addition to saving money, Mr Walley states that the LED lighting was installed to add atmosphere to the shopping centre.

He said: “Selecting LEDs has enabled us to enhance the Bullring’s aesthetics and visual impact. We can now offer a spectacular night time vibrancy brought about by the exciting light shows that we can create.

“This has been achieved without compromise to our environmental responsibility.”

The shopping centre has approximately 160 retail outlets and organises many different events such as games promotions and workshops.

I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
