20 buses to get LED screens
Thousands of bus passengers in East Anglia will soon be able to watch adverts on LED screens.
Anglian Bus recently announced that it is installing LED screens into 20 of its vehicles.
In addition to adverts, the boards will show travel news and information regarding the local area.
Double decker buses are to get an LED screen on each floor and the company expects to install more vehicles with the displays next year.
In addition to the innovative screens, the buses will also be fitted with wi-fi so passengers can access the internet.
Andre Pursey, bus director for the company, stated that the LED boards are ideally placed for advertisers.
“With up to 1,000 people a day travelling on each key route, this means advertisements will be seen by what is, quite literally, a captive audience,” he told the Beccles and Bungay Journal.
“The addition of wi-fi means passengers can use the bus like an office.”
Both New York and Chicago were among the first cities to recently see buses fitted with external LED screens for advertising purposes.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
