18-miles of LED lights installed
A US botanical garden has recently unveiled its spectacular LED light display.
The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Virginia has opened for its annual GardenFest of Lights.
Up to 18 miles of LED lights have been installed in the garden which offers a spectacular array of displays to impress visitors.
Some 500,000 lamps make up the displays which will be in place until January 12th.
David Heacock, president of energy producer Dominion Virginia Power, explained that LED bulbs were installed due to the technology’s energy-saving properties.
He said: “LED holiday lights are a great way to increase electrical energy efficiency while enjoying the beauty of illuminated holiday displays.
“LEDs save up to 98 percent of the electricity needed to power conventional bulbs and are safer because they generate much less heat.”
In other news, historic tourist attraction Dartington Hall, Devon, plans to convert its external lights to LED bulbs.
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
