Green light for Tampa’s LED project
A new LED light system has been installed on a building in Florida.
The SunTrust Financial Centre in Downtown Tampa has been fitted with LED bulbs as part of a plan to improve energy efficiency.
Replacing 15 traditional fluorescent bulbs, it is hoped the LED system will prove a more reliable way to light the building.
The LED system has several different functions, meaning that the LED boards can display multiple colours and logos.
Currently on display is a red and green holiday-themed illumination, although the University of Tampa has approached Sun Trust to display its team colours.
Bay Stage Lighting teamed up with the Macquarie Office Trust to develop the lighting system, which includes 332 LED bulbs.
Danielle Sherwin, communications liaison at the company, told the St Petersburg Times: “Now it can change a lot more often, and it’s a lot brighter. It’s more of a focal point in our skyline.”
I would recommend LED Synergy to anyone considering purchasing an LED sign. We have had so many compliments since it was installed and it has been a valuable asset.
