What Is An IP Protection Rating?

An IP protection rating shows how well an LED screen, cabinet or component is protected against objects, dust and water entering the enclosure.

IP stands for Ingress Protection. It is used across many types of electrical equipment to describe the level of sealing provided by an enclosure.

For LED screens, IP rating is especially important when specifying outdoor displays or screens used in exposed, dusty or demanding environments.
